Its's a jungle in here!

Art Licensing - Animals & Sprinkles Art Licensing - Animals & Sprinkles by Carla Daly Creating animal art for kids is a big passion of mine. As you will see at my online shop selling gifts for babies - Gifts4Baby.ie . I have made a business out of animals! My big move recently is to start licensing art to the United States Of America, though I am not limiting myself there! The United States is obviously the biggest market. Giraffe, Lion, Zebra, Crocodile are a few of the animal images I have created. Trying not to set them in a traditional jungle background, I decided to add glasses and sprinkles to the images.  Licensing is a very interesting area to work in. I am trying to get my images more neutral. Maybe that's not the correct work but more mass appeal.  Kids images seem to have less colour in them and neutral colours are the fashion. My art is all about colour so not sure how this will work out!

Los Angeles Wall Art By Carla Daly I have recently completed two illustrations for Stupell industries. My brief was to create an image that reflects the LA lifestyle. It was a very specific brief as the client Home Goods, USA have a clear idea of what their customers want. These two images will be available in the Los Angeles, Home Goods stores.  Los Angeles Wall Art By Carla Daly I am really keen to license my art and have been working hard on creating new images. The United States is my focus as it is a massive outlet for my work. I have licensed five image to Home Goods and another 12 to Marmont Hill for their online shop. My two Los Angeles wall art prints have been to most interesting to complete. A slight step away from all my animal wall art, it got me think slightly differently about my artwork. I really enjoyed creating them and would love more work like this to come my way.  Los Angeles Wall Art Framed By Carla Daly You can see more of ...

Illustrated Map Of Florida Illustrated Map Of Florida by Irish artist Carla Daly I am happily working my way through my next illustrated map of Florida. A really beautiful state known as The Sunshine State .  I am illustrating it with a light sea blue and yellow to represent the land. I have added fish that are found in the sea around the state and the counties and county seats with famous buildings, people and other Florida attractions. Illustrating a map takes me some time, I have to spend time investigating the counties that make up the state. Each county is illustrated with an object, person, building, animal or bird. I place the county names and county seat onto the map first. Then I go through each county and add and illustration that will depict the county. I license my kids wall map art to an online shop Maps.com, they are based in the United States. You can also purchase my kids wall maps on my online shop Gifts4Baby.ie At Gifts4Baby.ie  we se...

A short video showing how my art has progressed over the years. When I first came out of art college, I worked mainly in children's publishing. I always wanted to create my own art products and my first chance came when I opened a small shop in Urbana, Templebar. I then moved from there to my online shops selling kids wall art and personalised baby gifts. Gifts4Baby , KidsNurseryArt and BabyArtGifts are my online websites selling my kids wall art and personalised baby gifts. Please drop in!

I am delighted to let you know my illustrated maps of the world are now available for sale. I am thrilled as they look amazing. Excuse me for boasting! Printed on a durable 5mm pvc, they attach straight to the wall with the sticky pads provided. No framing required! You can purchase them here- CarlaDaly.com and CarlaDaly.co.uk.

At last I have finished the artwork for my map of the world. Now begins the hard part, finding a printer who will print onto a durable product at a reasonable price. Because this product is slightly different to the rest of my products, I am finding it hard to find a printer to produce it. I want the maps to be - light weight(for posting), durable ( for those sticky fingers!), cheap ( not to hurt your pockets too much!) and round( to look great on your walls). This seems to be a difficult task, but I know my printer is out there I just have to look harder. I will let you know when they are ready for sale on my sites- CarlaDaly.com and CarlaDaly.co.uk. In the meantime here is the final artwork, I hope you like it.
