Nursery Art Nursery Art illustrated by Irish artist Carla Daly New nursery art soon to available from Gifts4Baby.ie I have been work hard on new images, hopefully to be sold as art licensing as nursery art prints. The will also be available as personalised nursery art from my online shop Gifts4Baby.ie These images have really been created to art license in the States. My new agent Out Of The Blue art licensing agent is pushing me to create more art. I am really enjoying it and a push is what I needed. They hope to sell them into the nursery art print market in the United States. It took me quite a while to get into the swing of creating such simple line work, the more and more I got into it the more I am enjoying illustrating them. I have started with lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe and monkey and will add more jungle animals to this range. I also want to do farm animals and winter animals etc. All these jungle animals will be available in my Nursery Art categ...

Designing and setting up a nursery for the baby can be very exciting for new parents. Parents, especially the first-time parents, want it to be perfect for their baby; therefore, the task may become daunting and tiring. The most important element in a baby’s nursery is the wall-art. Art is known to be a stimulating factor in a child’s development. It is, therefore, important to carefully select such colours, textures and shapes that have a positive impact on your baby’s growth.  Colours can greatly impact the look and feel of the nursery. The world of colours goes beyond pink and blue. Colour psychology helps us understand how colours can affect a child’s development. Some colours have a stimulating effect while others may relax the child. Green Nursery Art Green is a very relaxing colour. It promotes the feeling of peace and relaxes the child. It is a gender-neutral colour; therefore, this colour can be used for both boys and girls. Carla Daly has designed this beautifu...

New growth chart design to add to my Wall Growth Chart category. This has taken me forever to do but at last it is finished. I feel like the lion on top of the chart- very happy! From the first post a few days ago to this finished growth chart, what do you think? The next step is to send it to my printer for a proof, then if I am happy with the quality of the print it will go into production. I will let you know when it is available for sale on my online shops- CarlaDaly.com and CarlaDaly.co.uk PLEASE leave a comment.

Above- How I fell this week! Last week everything was geat I was on a roll, creativity and sales were on a high. Well, I took a little dive this week, I had to dump my growth chart illustration that I had been working on and in the process lost over a weeks work, it drives me crazy when this happens! To add to this my seo company have not been doing the seo work they had claimed they were doing on my .com site selling nursery art ! Sometimes I could pull my hair out! On the upside, I have started on a new idea for my next growth chart illustration and have a great idea for a second growth chart, so everything isn't so black! It is good to struggle with a drawing as it makes your next one better. (I hope!) Relating to a blog post I did earlier about getting a licensing agent, I haven't done much on that front yet, but did add a page to my website about licensing my art . Please take a look.

Here in Ireland we are celebrating St Patrick's day on the 17th of March, a great day for the Irish! We all need a boost at the moment with the recession. So I hope you enjoy the craic (fun) on Paddy's Day. As lots of us in Ireland will be saying- Pionta Guinness, le do thoil (A pint of Guiness, please). So a- Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh! (St. Patrick's Day blessing upon you). Above are a two nursery art prints I sell from my online shops - CarlaDaly.com and CarlaDaly.co.uk both with an Irish theme. Irish sheep enjoy a jig (Irish dance) and Paddy takes a few tourist on a trip through the Irish countryside.
