It is always nice to return home after a holiday though I feel like I have been treading water for the past week. I went straight into getting my orders out that had mounted up over my holidays and renovating our new house at the same time! We plan to move in August, so I have been working on my online shop and house renovation. Our house project is particularly exciting for me as I will have a new art studio in it. At the moment I work from two places, an art studio where I paint and a packing studio where I pack my orders do admin and computer work etc, etc. I feel my working life is a bit fragmented and can't wait to have everything in one place. I will post some photos when my studio is finished.

Kids Map Of The UK & Ireland

Kids Map of the UK & Ireland (unfinished) I have decided to do a range of wall maps of different countries. I finished my USA map and am now starting the UK & Ireland. I have found that I really like illustrating maps! Also, I am not illustrating them in my usual hand drawn/painted way, I do hand draw all the animals and map outlines but then scann them onto my computer. I then colour them in on the computer and place them on the map, the text is then added, simple as that! Well, not that simple, it really takes my a long time, but I hope you think it is worth it. I am going to get samples printed, when I have approved them they will be printed and ready to buy, I will keep you posted!
