To Facebook or not to Facebook

Well, it has been a busy week at CarlaDaly.com and CarlaDaly.co.uk which is great for business but creatively it has been slow. I have employed a search engine optimization company to work on my CarlaDaly.com site, they only started yesterday, so I am crossing my fingers!

The only other thing I did of significance this week was deactivate my Facebook account. I have been thinking about this for a while but could not bring myself to press that deactivate button! Well finally I pulled the plug on Tuesday evening, I was really sick of logging in and looking at photo's of people I really didn't know. The only downside to this is that my Facebook page promoting my business has gone, but I want to focus on my blog and my twittering and wasting time on Facebook just wasn't helping me. So a cheer for my liberation from Facebook!

Funny, I found this article on the web just after I posted this article, I think it is relevant don't you?

  1. Good for you Carla for staying committed to doing what you can for your business and having the courage to pull that "facebook" plug. I totally understand & appreciate your feelings. We artists have to do what we have to do...
